You Can’t Get What You Can’t See

September 29, 2025

Healthy Eating Goals?

Why vague goals = vague results. And how to make your future feel real enough to follow.
Learn how visualization, clarity, and goal-setting transform your health and habits.

Close your eyes for a second and imagine this:

You walk into a dark room.
No flashlight.
No map.
No clear destination.

Now tell me—how fast are you moving?
How confident do you feel?

Exactly. You don’t.
And that’s exactly what’s happening when your goals are vague.

“I Just Wanna Be Healthier…”

Let’s talk about the most common phrase I hear when people come into my program:

“I just wanna eat better.”
“I just wanna feel good.”
“I just want to be healthy again.”

Okay. But what does that actually look like?
Feel like?
Taste like?

Because if your goal is blurry, your actions will be too.
And blurry actions lead to blurry results.

Your Brain Needs Specificity

The brain is a prediction machine. It’s constantly scanning, forecasting, and preparing based on what it expects.

But here’s the kicker:

If you haven’t taught it what to expect, it just loops the past.
Same habits.
Same cravings.
Same “start over Monday” cycles.

Visualization — when done right — helps you train your brain to expect something new. But that “something” has to be clear.

Make It Make Sense (To Your Brain)

Let’s flip “I want to be healthy” into something the brain can actually grasp:

  •  “I want to wake up energized and not reach for coffee by 10am.”

  •  “I want to eat meals that don’t make me feel inflammed, bloated, or guilty.”

  • “I want to walk up the stairs without my knees hurting.”

  • “I want to feel sexy in my jeans/dress — not like I’m hiding my body.”

That’s real.
That’s tangible.
That’s something your brain can work toward.

A Quick Exercise for Today

Take out your journal (or the Notes app, I’m not judging), and answer this:

If you were already living in your healthiest body and mindset… what would your typical day look like?

Start from the a.m.
Get detailed.
No dream is too small or silly.

Write it as if you’re already there. This is your blueprint.

Because remember:

You can’t get what you can’t see.
And you’re not going to stay committed to something that feels vague and far away.

Your Future Needs You Present

Your body is listening.
Your brain is rehearsing.
Your future is waiting.

Let’s stop feeding your imagination with fear…
and start feeding it with clarity.

I’ll show you how to take this deeper this week.

But for now—
see it, then be it.
